Abbeyfield Masterton Incorporated is the organization identified for Common Hours Masterton on Android. This policy covers version 1.0.0 of the app and the matching public support site. It is effective 8 August 2026. The app is an offline educational orientation companion; it is not the organization's residency, tenancy or resident-management system.
The app is intended for adults exploring shared independent living, adult relatives or supporters, visitors, volunteers and community members. It is not designed for children. A person considering housing should use the official Abbeyfield enquiry process and may involve a trusted supporter or independent adviser.
The app explains general shared-home questions through the House Clock, Fourteen Doorline, Common Table, Shared Rooms, Masterton Nearness, Getting Around, Visitor Chime, House Roles, My Visit Thread, Image Hours, Source Cabinet and Privacy Center. It does not display vacancies, prices, applications, eligibility decisions, resident records, bookings or live service information.
The app does not collect or transmit personal data to Abbeyfield Masterton Incorporated, the developer or a server. It has no Internet capability, backend, contact form, upload, cloud sync, advertising service or analytics service. The app does not read contacts, calendars, messages, call logs, photos, files, sensors, location or device identifiers.
If a user selects a House Clock moment, conversation topic, nearness topic, visit question, gallery position or reduced-motion preference, the choice is stored only in app-private SharedPreferences on that Android device. The state is used only to restore the user's local view. It is not transmitted, scored or associated with an identity.
The app provides no free-text field and is not suitable for names, addresses, phone numbers, financial information, dietary details, disability information, medical information, medication, emergency plans, residency documents or notes about residents. It contains no resident directory, profile, photograph, schedule or case record.
The app requests no Android runtime permission and does not declare Internet, location, camera, microphone, notification, storage, contacts, calendar, phone, Bluetooth or health permission. Android may expose platform-managed operations such as clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
The app has no account, login, password, user ID or server profile. Account deletion is therefore not applicable. Users can remove local choices with Reset local choices in Settings, Android's Clear storage control or by uninstalling the app.
The app contains no advertisements, ad SDK, analytics, attribution, telemetry, crash-reporting, social-media SDK, remote-AI SDK or behavioral tracking. It does not create advertising identifiers or tracking profiles. The release uses only Android platform APIs and packaged app resources.
Because the app does not transmit personal data, it does not share, disclose, rent or sell personal data to the organization, advertisers, data brokers or other third parties. A user's device owner or device administrator may still have access to the device under their own arrangements.
Source addresses are displayed as reference text so users can identify official material, but the app does not open a browser, start an email, place a call or connect to those addresses. Any contact a user makes outside the app is governed by the chosen browser, phone, email provider and receiving organization.
Local selections remain in app-private storage until the user resets them, clears Android app storage or uninstalls the app. The organization and developer receive no server copy and therefore retain no app-submitted personal information.
Reset local choices deletes the preferences created by the app. Android Clear storage and uninstall also remove them. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for app data, so the app is not designed to restore these preferences onto another device.
Data minimization, app-private storage, no network permission, no account, no sensitive free text and disabled backup reduce exposure. No device is risk-free: anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to see the current screen or local selections. Users should use Android screen locking and keep sensitive notes outside the app.
The content concerns adult housing and is not directed to children. The app has no chat, public profile, social feed, precise location, user-generated content or child record. Adults should not place information about a child or vulnerable person in device screenshots or external notes associated with the app.
The app is not a housing application, vacancy service, tenancy decision, affordability assessment, nursing or personal-care service, medical or mental-health tool, accessibility certification, transport service or emergency service. Users must confirm current arrangements and personal suitability with authorized people. In an emergency in New Zealand, call 111.
A later app release may update this policy if functionality changes. A new effective date and meaningful explanation will accompany material changes. Users may stop using the app at any time, reset local choices, clear storage or uninstall it.
